What is SCRIP?
Participating merchants will make contributions to St. Christopher’s
when you make purchases using the Scrip certificates/cards.
Scrip is used for purchases in stores and restaurants just
like cash.
The St. Christopher School Board established
the Scrip program in 1991 as a fundraiser to offset the
rising cost of tuition. Profits from the Scrip program go
directly into the operating budget of the school. For the
2003/2004 school year, the scrip program is budgeted to
contribute $90,000 to the school. Currently, St. Christopher's
tuition contract includes a $3,500 yearly Scrip purchase
requirement. This requirement can be fulfilled in several
ways described below:

and Friday mornings from 7:45am - 8:30am, Thursday afternoon

The following order form is available online or during the

eScrip (Electronic Scrip): St. Christopher
joined the eScrip program in September 1999. We have found
eScrip to be simple, convenient and effective. You can register
any or all of your existing grocery loyalty cards, credit
cards and debit/ATM cards with eScrip. When you make a purchase
with a participating merchant, you will receive Scrip credit
and St. Christopher will receive a donation from the merchant.
Currently, all of our major local grocery stores have joined
eScrip, including Safeway, PW, Lunardi's, Whole Foods and
Cosentino's. As of September 2003, Safeway requires that
you renew your card commitment (there is no fee) with eScrip
each year.
You can click HERE
for a list of participating merchants by area. Also,
the St. Christopher’s Development Office maintains
a list. There is NO FEE to use eScrip. You can register
by phone or online. Just call 1-800-592-0942 and tell them
that you want to support St. Christopher’s elementary
school or go directly to www.escrip.com to register online.
